In the last few weeks I have often talked about a problem that is very common in the startup industry. There is something I would call the startup company life cycle. After a year or two of this cycle what you observe is that companies can’t keep growing as fast as they did before.
I have carried out an analysis about this phenomenon and what I got is a confirmation of my opinion.

There is no doubt that Digg is still the leader in the social news industry, but the trend is either steady or declining for all the social news sites.
In the last few months I couldn’t find any sites that could be good alternatives for those listed above.
My forecast is that each of those site will lose between 15-20% of users within a year. Profits will be lower than expected for sure, so [...]
